My Labor Day Weekend
This weekend I had the pleasure to get some work in before the big holiday. These new portraits are for a young lady who is in her Senior year of high school. I had a great time shooting Maria, though she was tired from the night of working before!

I love babies!
The hardest subject matter and my favorite is children. They come unpredictable, playful and bright-eyed. Full of smiles and laughter to go around you will be chasing them around to just get one good shot.
These latest shots I took of my beautiful little boy Irie Ethan Jase at 8.5 months old. He is still in the "stay in place" phase, unlike my two year old who thinks sitting still or even in one spot to smile for more than 2 seconds is "over-rated"

Traditional Photojournalism Wedding Photography
Your special day is approaching and you still have not hired a photographer. You don't even know where to begin and the search is becoming daunting as each day rolls by. Overwhelmed? The first question you need to ask yourself is the formality of your wedding. Haven't thought of it yet? Knowing the formality of your event can give you a better indication on what to look for in a photographer. The second thing you need to look at is yourself and your fiance, what is your personality like? When combining these two factors you can find a photographer that will work for you.
When choosing a traditional photographer, pictures are posed for and perfect down to the last detail therefore accentuating elegance and grace of your event. The downside to this is that the those spontaneous and special moments may not be captured, because candid shots are less likely to be taken. Generally, clients who are having a more formal event will choose this option.
Capturing the spontaneous moments while still creating elegance with traditional photography, is what I refer to as the "traditional photojournalist" photographer. The traditional photojournalist can create and capture you wedding moments combining the posed shots with your magical moments, leaving you breathless. Make sure to look at their portfolio, in the end you need to be happy with the choice you make. This could be the best option for most couples, giving the client maximum versatility and album choices.
As your day happens the photojournalists job is to seek out those moments when no one seems to be looking, moments you would not expect to see in your album. Jennifer and Jonathan March 30, 2007
I was very honored when asked by Jennifer and Jonathan to take part in their special day and be hired for my services. This is where it begins for a photographer who is just starting out, with family branching to friends and eventually recommendations.
Jennifer looked simply sophisticated in her white and red dress, Jonathan and Riley (nephew) were quite handsome.

Renee and John November 24, 2007
Sharing the joy of a couple's wedding day is a wonderful experience. It is more special when that day includes having the chance to photograph that day for a family member. My sister in law Renee and her fiance John were wed November 24, 2007. What made this occasion much more memorable than any other event I have done is the fact that I was 9 months pregnant with my son Irie and due that day!
Renee had lined up another photographer to be there for the event to help, considering that I was going to so pregnant and DUE.
When I arrived at the church to begin taking pictures I noticed the other photographer had not arrived. Which was fine, I began taking pictures of the bride and the ladies when I had finally moved on to the guys I then asked John "Where's Christina?" John replies "She's not here?" He looked quite upset, I told him not to worry about it because I didn't think my water would break anytime soon!
So for this I want to thank my son Irie for being a week overdue making Aunt Renee a very happy and beautiful bride!

Mary and Jason are an amazing couple I had a chance to do work with for their wedding day. They are such a sweet couple, and they were a joy to work with.
The day could not have been more perfect for this couple. It was fairly warm and the sun was shining so brightly and beautiful.
I wish Mary and Jason the best of luck in life and look foward to working with them again in the future.
